I’m a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist with over 35 years of experience in trauma-informed care. My work supports nervous system regulation and embodied awareness, offering a steady environment where the body can soften protective patterns and reconnect with a sense of ease.
At the heart of my practice is the E.A.R. System, a method I developed to support learning through Educating the Awareness and Responding. This approach invites curiosity about the body’s signals and encourages responses that feel grounded, clear and supportive. When we honor this process, we begin to hear what the body has been trying to say all along.
When life has been overwhelming, the body often adapts in ways that help us get through difficult moments. Over time, those adaptations can become patterns of tension, bracing, or disconnecting. In our work together, we slow down enough to notice these patterns with respect and without judgment. As awareness grows, the body often finds more room to breathe, settle, and choose new possibilities.
I’ve spent more than three decades teaching and mentoring massage therapists, including many years as a Professor of Massage Therapy at Greenville Technical College and as an Instructor at The Whole You School of Massage, in Rutherford, NC. I am licensed in South Carolina to offer continuing education for practicing massage therapists, and I teach with the same reverence I bring to my sessions, honoring the body’s wisdom and the courage it takes to seek support.
This work is not about fixing. It’s about honoring. As awareness grows, your body begins to recognize that it has more options. It can respond with less overwhelm and more clarity. Over time, this creates a sense of connection that feels more like your true self.
If you’re ready to begin, I’ll meet you right where you are with care, curiosity, and deep respect for your journey.
